Market Profile : An Intraday Trading Approach ???

Dear friends,

I am trying to use "Market-Profile" strategy as given at
http://www.cisco-futures.com/mpintro.html
for IntraDay Trading of Futures, with only a very modest success.

On searching this forum I have come across only this

as far as this strategy is concerned.

I am attaching Market-Profile of FUTIDX-NIFTY-29DEC2005 as on 08/12/2005.

I request you to kindly share your views/experience regarding this strategy.

I think it is a powerful tool, but I have yet to master it.

MarketDelta is a software product that is used for intraday analysis of MarketProfile patterns and or support/resistance levels that can help gauge buying and selling pressure through volume. Check out this graphic. It show 30 minute bars segmented by price.

Thanks dear tharnett. MarketDelta gets real-time-intraday-data from eSignal,
DTN IQFeed, Trading Technologies®, or Interactive Brokers (TWS).
NSE, BSE is missing.
QUOTETRACKER (gets data from NSE) has now removed TPO (i.e., Market Profile) from there beta version, as CBOT owns the patent rights over Market Profile "form" & needs payment per usage.

The basic principle i think can even be applied to EOD data. But too early to say. Will need to study more. Implementation will take more time.

BTW, for those interested, CV has started a group on MP for USERS of mkt profile (so don't expect spoonfeeding). There's also an entire section on MP at EliteTrader.
