Hi MM,

Once you have studied all the chart patterns... and I am pretty sure there will be hundreds more offered here in the thread...in the next few days...

Therefore, I am not going to delve into chart patterns yet... considering you have good trading & stock picking skill... you will need to develop some amount of reading the market trend.....with ability to predict market trend from +5 days....you will further need to hone your skills for sector tailwind...and thereafter drill down to particular scrips....these should keep you relatively free from news based trouble.... that filters through quite innocently during the market from TV channels.....

Another thing one might notice is the psychological.... warfare constantly waged by big fishes upon the small ones...during the trading hours few of these tactics adopted....are quite evident......if you have the right scrips on your watchlist... one will suddenly notice....sudden wash of red....that is when most stop losses get hunted.... & thereafter some pattern may also be created to encourage the small fish to go short....only to find in next couple of bars things have moved inexplicably against the short position.....its a constant struggle for small fishes...but once you start understanding the tactics adopted by the big fishes....you will enjoy this duel....on a daily basis.

Happy & Safer Trading

Thanks for your honest opinion.I agree that operators/market makers hunt for small guys' stoplosses.I am well aware that it is the toughest thing to beat these sharks. As u said....I ll sharper my skills to understand them.

Hunting for stoplosses is very lucrative but since the locations of the stops are well known to anyone with a fair knowledge of resistance and support levels, even small fish as you put it, can benefit from stop running,if patient enough.
