Combination of Indicators

Instead of using RSI & Stochastics together, isn't it better to use RSI + OBV? One helps to check Trend and another helps to confirm the trend with support of Volumetric calculation.

Combinations of indicators should be such that they are not related to each other. There is absolutely no need to couple MACD/RSI/SToch together. Even if you use one indicator out of this, your pupose should be solved. Gte in to the habbit of coupling non related indicators. For E.g - One can USe Price, RSI, OI and VIX to study trades in the derivatives market.

Raunak,

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually I am following your lines only. I am trying to stress on MACD. Actually its one of my personal favorites. Actually I have never traded derivatives using technical indicators. What I do is use NIFTY index to identify bull and bear positions and then use the same to trade in options. Can you suggest any data feed or something similar for intraday derivative trading esp. Nifty Options.

You have suggested RSI, OI as TA. Can u tell me waht VIX is? And how to use it?

I am using MACD using different parameters. I am trying to place fibonacci filters in the MACD itself.

@Sanju,

Nice suggestion. Actually for many days I have been tring to reach a optimum time frame. I have trie from tick to 15 minutes, but now it seems that the right time frame frame for intraday trading lies somewhere between something which is "not too long" and something "not too short" .

I found 3min on LOWER side and 10min on HIGHER side is
good for INTRADAY trading.
