How to get 'Daily' charts on bseindia.com ?

#1
Guys

I have tried to use the charting facility on bseindia.com site but could not get 'Daily' chart.

Here are the steps that I took:

1. Open bseindia.com and on homepage enter name of a stock and click on 'quotes'.

2. On 'qoutes' page click 'Charting'.

3. I get intraday chart of that stock. Now I change the date range to reflect last two months and then click on 'Duration' drop down list to change from 'Intraday' to 'Daily'. Then I get error msg 'enter a valid date'.

I tried entering all sorts of date ranges (two months, 6 months, 6 weeks, etc) but I get the same error msg.:annoyed:

Can someone help on how to get 'Daily' chart on bseindia.com site (precise steps)?

Thanks in advance for your help

after you get the intraday chart,
1) first change the date to dd/mm/yyyy format. i.e 28/07/2008 and 28/07/2009 in the from and to columns.
2)Only then change the option from intraday to daily or weekly or monthly as you wish.
then click display chart at the bottom.
you will get the chart for daily/weekly or monthly chart as selected by you.
you can change the from and to dates as you. wish the above given dates are just an example.
You can also change the indicators and parameters and click on the refresh button above the chart. As far as i know only one indicator can be displayed at a time.
Enjoy the charts.

Today I noticed that BSE Charting has been corrected and you do not get any error.

For more flexibility I suggest you to use Fcharts or any other free charting softwares.

rakamath: You are on the dot. Date format is actually dd/mm/yyyy. How can BSE team have such an obvious defect on their site for so long? Thanks anyway.

Chachi: Thanks for your guidelines.

Love this forum:clap:

dear pos_trader,
the date format depends on the regional settings on your computer.
If you Go to control panel ->regional and language options and change it to english(United States) you will get the date in mm/dd/yyyy format. If you save this, then the bse charts will accept the mm/dd/yyyy format.
