Learning from traderji about TA i installed amibroker and felt many problem to install charts and at last thought of importing bhavcopy onto the amibroker software, i've impoted ASCII into amibroker but the msg shows when i open the chart is " NOT ENOUGH DATA AVAILABLE.
TO PLOT ANY CHART AT LEAST 3 DATA BARS ARE NEEDED, BUY THERE ARE ONLY 0 BARS IN ..........."
now i dont know whether i'm succesfull or not, pls do recommend and one more:-
(i) While charting scrip( like reliance future) what do u follow the spot/cash price of reliance or the future price pls do suggest, most of the member know that i'm zero in technical.

Hello,

I dont know about amibroker. I am sorry and about the spot/future price, its the spot price which you need to follow. A future price is nothing but a derivative from the spot price. By theory future price should always be more than spot price. The more time for expiry of contract the wide gap should be. But its not that in reality. Sometimes future price trades very high than spot and sometimes in discount to spot price. Reasons could be anything like bearish trend, bad news etc. So its the spot price where the value is and future price is derived based on spot changes.

i dont know about the amibroker, but some time before i havent any technical software at all, but somebody told me about the Spider Iris a technical analysis software of spider software . it is a great experience with in three days. All that stuff of tick query and the pattern and attractive chart with live data feeder.
i think u should go for that stuff and contact those guys.

Dear friend
if u have a free version then download more than 3 days EOD data as to plot a graph it requires at least 3 days eod.....the save the bhavcopy in a new folder....then after opening the ami using the import wizard to import the data... and follow the steps....will help u open the chart.
secondly when working in cash mkt follow the spot(index) and for future follow the future.
even i am a newbee .... but any help required from my side....my pleasure....bye take care

Hi friend... i will help you to import data....
let me know some information from you....

1.which version of amibroker you are using, is it registered? ( i hope you know how to check trial vs registered... )
if its registered then
2.to download bhav copy which s/w you are using? i recommend getbhavcopy WHICH IS FREE --- download it from ....getbhavcopy com/

IF both amibroker registered/ getbhavcopy working....

let me know........

then we will proceed to new steps
