choppy market

Guys,
When i see nifty charts from period of 2000 to 2003 september when the bull market started i found the market was choppy. It is difficult to make money in choppy markets as the markets do not behave on excesses but randomly. Experience traders, share your views how to profitable trade choppy markets . Also suggest any books and articles on it.

the mkts were ,r & will b so called choppy.....those who learn 2 wade through calm rivers always try big lakes & graduate 2 ocean....
do they have 2 read books or articles ?

People who say, they u can't make money in choppy / volatile market are right in their own belief. Probably they don't have the strategy to trade volatilie mkt.
But there are traders who love volatility. It gives many quick opportunity to make money in both direction of trade. Important is to find out when mkt is choppy and have right strategy to trade them.

By the way, how do u define that mkt is choppy ? What did u observe in 2002/2003 that make you reach the conclusion that it was choppy then ? Can u plz share them with us ?
