I'm a complete novice in this field...interested in short term trading on equties...weekly or monthly basis....I've gone through quite a few of the threads under technical analysis.
But there is some confusion in my mind, which I think the seniors in this field can clarify....
What I've understood that when we are dealing with moving averages, MACD, RSI or stochastics, it is very important to set the parameters adequately. what I want to mean is that if I'm looking for a weekly chart for over last two years, the parameters to be set for the indicators should be different from the parameters to be set on a EOD chart to identify the early movements.
So I would request the seniors to spot on some lights in this regards.
