The best and the most successful indicator I have ever come across is The Price widely used as candlesticks, bars, line etc followed by 'Volume'.
Now go back to your screen and just stare at them and watch out, how do they react at different levels and most probably you might end up discovering some thing very very repititive. The whole world of Technical Analysis revolves around it... Ru now saying something like ' are you kidding me'.
Yo Man! I am serious:)

I agree with Ash.Paul.
All indicators are derived from price and they will certainly lag price. Price action i.e. Horizontal Support & resistance areas, Swing High/Swing low, relationship between sequence of highs and low etc are lot more reliable then lagging indicators.
I use indicators for confirmation, but price action is primary source of info to take trading decisions.

Happy Trading

I use ADX, MACD & TRIX, RSi, CCI and ema cross over. but seriously, it just helps to make a better exit. Entry is totally on judgment and that comes from having a clearer market movement perception. u get a buy on one indicator and another confirms it, if u take it blindly without giving a thought for the bigger market picture, chances of being stuck with a bad trade remains very high. In a falling market, RSI, CCI, StockK will all combine and give you plenty of oversold signal, but u have to decide if u want to catch the falling dagger.

many times we have a bias towards the market and the first sign of a indicator confirming ur bias will make u jump the gun.

low risk...high probability entry doesnt require a good indicator and gives the most profitable trades. e.g u short at a resistance level and place the SL above the resistance. There is no guarantee that the resistance wont be taken out, but the odds are on your side.

Risk management, position sizing are much more important in the long run than having a good indicator.
