Raja,
This august forum has many silent people ,who actually make money ,no paper trading ,crap ,glib talking guys.There are guys who at this time of my posting trading in Forex earning day in & day out.There are day trader's whose broker's statement of a/c of 1 day's trading profit will be more than sufficient to buy a Neural Network / Genetic Algorithm systems. Ashsih,
Pardon my benevolent curiosity I don't mean to butt in but could you tell us about these ppl you know who day trade and earnings from a single day could buy proprietory systems, are they institutional traders? proprietory traders? Do they use TA? FA? Do they have reuteurs or Bloomberg? Are they discretionary or mechanical? Did they start out with a big fortune and make it a small one? Or is it they other way around? Have you actually checked their broker statements? Just curious coz I've read about such day traders in fiction books, not denying their existance or anything but I find it fascinating you actually rub shoulders with them. Most of the day traders I know have given up daytrading, one called his son back from college in USA and had to sell his property to repay his creditors another took up a goverment job with a bank and has since resigned his high flying job and is on enam tabs for hypertension after being dischaerged from hospital for suffering a stroke (this is really true) . All he has left is his accumulted public profidend fund. But then again I don't know very many day traders thats why I find what you say fascinating. Please do give us some juicy details. What we are actually experiencing is not an information explosion. It is an explosion of data. Data provide neither enlightenment nor knowledge. What we are really experiencing may be access to excess. The mere fact that there is more data available does not mean that people either want it or can use it meaningfully.

I have not met anyone of this forum ,outside kolkata.I know from different posts & sources that people have their own office ,staffs & manage funds ,in Mumbai , Bangalore & Delhi doing trading only & a member of this forum. In kolkata i know many guys ,members of our forum yearning in multiples of thosands per day,& lot many not a member here,if any of you are from kolkata or visit kolkata i will really be happy to introduce them & take you to their place,i draw inspiration from them,these guys have a normal life ,like any other proffessional,for last many years.
