A pipe bottom in GMR today.

ACTION :Consider the red candle first, price broke down from a range, perfect bearish candle.

Reaction starts :Green candle opened at the bottom but no lower shadow, did not even test the low of red bearish candle, closed at exactly where the price broke from and the following candles are all trading in the upper band.

A gap up given by the enthusiastic buyers but was exhausted. price rallied up later.

good work budy..and i like this nick ' tape ',ur science of trading reflects in ur name,i hv a one qs. is there any difference between wide range bars and pipes? or they both same?

Its a pipe top (very short term) and a top is sold not bought. The formation was confirmed at 115 levels and a short was triggered with a stop of top of the red candle.

Hi alex !

Wide range bars and narrow range bars should be observed mainly to predict the tone of the market and there can be hundreds of formations within the wide range bars.

On the other hand, pipe formations can be relied upon to take a position as other traders like us also see the same thing and also use the same levels as stops. Its like trading with the odds
