Ashish,
Why can't we design a simple model which everyone understands? If one knows statitics or maths or any other engineering model let him be proud of it. But remember market does not care a dime for these skills. Market profile is much more useful for daytraders. VSA canbe used by daytraders as well as swing traders. There will thousands of members in this forum and many other fourms who are looking to supplement their income from trading and who earn their living by some other profession. These people may not be able to day trade also. Nor will they be interested in such complicated models. Tell me have you found any mathematical of statistical model which is 100% error proof or which produeces 100% successful trades? If not, and if every model be it VSA or be it any other simple model, which can also produce some loosing trades, why can't we design something which every one understands and which can be followed easily? IMHO, VSA scores here. It is quite simple to understand and quite easy to follow.

For that matter the hawkeyetraders use trend following and momentum along with their proprietary VSA algorithm.
You are right. Why can't we supplement VSA with other simple and easy to follow methods? This is a point to ponder.

I can emphatise with your feelings, why use something which many will not be interseted in,as they have other source of income, hence why.
You are very right nothing is 100 %,if it would have been ; then the REWARD will also be at par with bank income or even below that, becoz there will be NO RISK.

I am sync. with your suggesting to use other models along with VSA.

As i am by proffession a Trader,(now-a-days 95% Day Trader) hence is'nt it prudent for me to toil hard & find an edge over others.

Hope you understand.

Nothing remains complex once it is understood (else schoolchildren wouldn't be studying DNA structure & Nuclear fission). Ease of use is what matters. VSA in it's present form requires a lot of judgment & as such is more 'complex' from the point of view of applicability.

Kalyan,

Too much subjectivity, has to be reduced to absolute Rules.Picked up 1 good idea from VSA till date.Plz see in chart.

N.B. See here in the MS chart, how VSA (my interpretation) along with Profile (my crude code) when both combined in Nifty Fut 30 min chart gets Potent.
(Though i could not take that benifit as i was trading RIL / Telco & also getting exposed to Jesse's Guidance all at same time that day)

Is it some kind of joke DADA .

Ur coding is never crude , always something innovative u have given.
Good to hear that someone finally coded VSA in Metastock.

Keep it up.
Cheers,..
