Now that the man knows how to fish, would someone care to show him (and me) how to build the boat?

Thats good SGM. Lets take that as a starting point. What would you do next?
On the side Sanjay, why and how did you come to that premise (for discussion purposes)?

Hello BAV

As you said it’s just that, a starting point.

As to why and how about the premise, simply because it serves our purpose

For now it’s just a premise and at this stage we don't consider it as a fundamental truth. Inspired by the commonly available literature we assume prices do trend. During the course of the system development we should be open to discover either it may not be so or we can’t really use it to trade.

What do we do next?

Define everything, like what’s a trend, when we say its up, down, start, end etc.

BTW for Trend we must have a timeframe

Regards,
Sanjay
