Default Truly Mechanical System

if your system is truly mechanical you should answer the following questions with a yes.

1. do you have a clearly defined entry point that wouldn't change no matter who was trading the system?

2. Do you have a clearly defined stop level that would not change no matter who was trading the system?

3. If high volatility news item was due in 3 seconds and your system signalled an entry would you take it?

4. Do you have a clearly defined way to close your trade that would not change no matter who was trading it?

5. could you tell your 12 year old son what to do to trade the system and his results would be no different to yours?

If you answered truthfully 'yes' to each question then congratulations
you have a truly mechanical system - now you've got to make sure it makes
money - that bit is up to you.

Hope this helps some out there who are struggling away. Know that there
is a light at the end of the tunnel, but it's a bloody long tunnel!
see you at the light end.

Have developed atleast three such mechanical systems but my mind which always tries to compete against the system is the enemy of all these systems. I wish there was some system controlling these mad adrenaline rushes in body, wonder if it will settle down with age

Ah you are right 100% my friend, the day this dog named Emotion will be tamed, I will be on my path to real big treasures.

Anyways, i think everyone goes through the same process from the start of his trading career i.e.

TRADING DECISION(1st YEAR OF TRADING) = 10% LOGIC + 90% EMOTION

And as time keeps on passing % keeps on adding towards logic and deducting from emotion and the one who reaches atleast 80% LOGIC + 20% EMOTION stage before his Portfolio is Big Zero is the one who takes the money out of loosers' pockets
