the Stochastic Oscillator
hi
this is ali from hyderabad. i want to now how to use ths indicator it is said in the books that its used to know ouer sold and ouer bougth condition's but i want to know which period should wee use for it ? and is it use full with candlesticks ? i am waiting for senior members advice and guidence about it? happy holi, Ali

There is no prescribed 'Period' which is best for all time-frame in the chart & this holds true for any indicator/osscilator,becoz most of the time mkt is in different cycle & the change in cycle is also abrupt.
Hence select a time frame & change the period to see which has given in past significant outcome,then look at minimum 50 charts to get the feel of this indicator,after that plz go through the mathametical construction,conceptually.Then think deeply & try to relate the charts-findings ,to make a conclusion ,what is expected from this indicator & what not to expect from this one. Like this you will understand as a carpenter knows his tools & when to apply which one. This is an absolute subjective view.
