There are many methods that can warn you of adverse conditions if not ahead, but definitely as it is happening, not having the lag of a MA or MACD. But that entirely depends on your system.
Simply own equity curve tells about wether we are in adverse condition or not wrt to normal condition which is purely upto our system we use, i never admitted anywere, i can predict anything even to least degree of accuracy

Applying contratrading to trending system looks easy but were and how you switch quite not so simple isn't

But thing is it can be yet done
Hi Amarnath, this is what I was replying to, that you don't need predictability to judge whether your system is on track. Neither do you have to lag so much that by then the game will be over. Like you said one simple way is the equity curve.

Any of the systems checked in different market conditions will give on an average 0% result i.e. +50% & -50% so we cant rely on a system alone, there are some human elements that are very important for sucess of trading system:-

1. Stoplosses are very important. If we are able to minimize the losses that are caused by our system then the profits will be increased as a matter of inverse relation.

2. Market conditions which only human beings can judge i.e. whether we are in trending or ranged markets can help save a lot of pain caused by markets. I have seen a lot of traders using the trending indicators in ranged markets and loose real lot of money

If you are trading system than there is no point of speaking about human decision or factor's.

STOPLOSS and were you place them are both academic and non academic which in turn depends...

And your 2nd point proves that your have not even elementry idea of mech trading system's or designing it.

Also look at forwarding eq curve still on +ve track with DD controlled lvl and market condition keep changing every min on gold and silver :d

hi Arjun here,
I thanks all members, junior or senior for commenting on my first comment to make
" Holigrail of Nifty trading mechanical system".
I am not happy by good comments and I am not sad by bad comments. what I believe is to "try.. try.. try.. until you succeed". My motivating line abount is " No body invented system because no body can think like me. Before invention of Electricity everybody used to say Edison a fool man. But he invented that because he thought that he could think that way that nobody could think like that.
thanks for all suggestion...... I once again promise everyone of traderji , If i am able to get consistant result with my system for some more time then i will be giving it to all members here.
" Success is every thing to me"
" Impossible says=> I m possible"

So Everything is possible.
Thnaks and Regards,
Arjun Bhishm
