IMHO, When the weekly support-line (Evident on Monthly Chart as well) for the bull run is broken.

thanks Saint, Aca trader I agree & am keenly watching the trendline... but there are few gaps left up which need to be filled before the downside IMHO.

By the way Nifty is lagging the sensex, we have a close above 200 dma on Sensex

I think on if it keeps on breaking the support level more than some number of times. I am not having experience in charts but whatever patter is been made by this market seems very strange on the charts.

And if its goes on breaking more and more levels it would be a bear phase for long time. but again as the rally was for 3 years bulls can enter any time and bear market can not go much.

regards.

czar ,
before technicals come in fray 2 signal bull or bear mts ,randomly it IS VERY ESSENTIAL that mkts have a symptom before they behave abnormally..
generally bull tops have the following symptoms...
> utter chaos
>lot of IPOs lined up
>increased risk appetite
>full public participation
>tips raining in madly from even the newbies
>lot of novice entry with huge success stories abt their neighbours
>packed brokerage houses
>short term plays more than long term stories
>increased financial editions & magazine sales
>increasing list of cos in f&o ban periods
>& lastly ... never ending penny stock rallies...
if the mkts have this symptoms , take it that a vunerable top is around & more the time taken 2 bust the bubble , the more the nasty thud.....
if the abv symptoms satisfy a bull top , then the technicals should come into play.....
m not that xpert 2 predict the bull tops & bear bottoms but xperience says that it works....

ya it works

If your bidi wala starts talking about market and gives you tip we are at bull top.

And if we ask some one about the market and he runs away enough damage was done and its bear phase. but challange is to find the bear bottom.

regards.
