Unfortunately I haven't studied gaussian elimination so i don't understand the principle. But thanks! you sparked my interest i promise to make it out.)) Examining of this script seems to be no less torturous)

ps Also this line looks to act like center line around which price walks. very valuable i think.

btw, do you have some ideas about my indicator - Snap2.jpg?=)

For an example see the attached chart of ACC. It is a 20-period Linear fit.

Hi Anant, take a look to this Site.... I think this is wht u are looking for.But then u tell me where it is most efficient to apply.

Hi Chintan,

Thanks for the link. Though it is not what I was looking for, it is a very interesting site. What I refered to was the Hurst Bands described on e-signal website.

I could figure out how to get the polynomial fit the way I want. The AFL you gave in your post (which is also available on Amibroker site in online library) itself can be used by inserting the required parameters in the last part of the AFL(such as starting bar, ending bar etc.).

However, I am not working on the polynomial fit right now. Presently I am trying out a system based on linear regression. I am enclosing a chart based on that system.

Hi Razkevich,

Thank you for the interesting stuff you have posted.

Actually, this is not exactly what i was looking for, but nevertheless what you described is extremely interesting. These bands are similar to bollinger bands (especially in case of linear regression) - if i understand you correctly, we just use Linear Regression Indicator instead of moving average - so that it should look like in the attachment
I have already worked out a system based on linear regression and standard deviation bands. I have given the system to one of the very experienced stalwart member of this forum for review and for his comments and suggestions. After I receive feedback from him I will post the details in this forum. I am attaching a chart based on my system which shows the trend and Buy-Sell signals. The green lines mean up trend and the red lines denote down trend. The Green Up-Arrows are Buy signals and Red Down-Arrows are Sell signals.

The system is not perfect. It has some drawbacks which I am trying out sort out. One of the advantages of the systems is that in sideway movement of prices it does not generate whipsaws as with moving average cross-over systems.

Your idea of detrended values and standard deviation bands looks interesting. I would work with it and see what I can contribute. Till then have a nice time and profitable trading.

Hi Chintan,

I am using AmiBroker version 5. The TITAN chart was based on Linear regression as described earlier.

Hi Anant

When are you posting the afl? Please describe the system in detail when you post. It would be useful for newbies like me to learn the steps involved in wrting the afl programs.
