Hi Rajaram, The momentum is extreme and may not be sustainable.

Smart Trader has posted a comment on my blog and I agree with him on this. Here I quote him -

But Market is showing extreme momentum. Extreme momentum is not sustainable.out of 1181 NSE traded shares ,1052 shares are trading above 20 SMA,1049 above 50 SMA, and 990 above 200SMA, highest since june 2007.

84 shares up more than 50% in one month and 305 shares up 25%. 583 shares are up 25% in last 65 trading days. All highest since 1st of june 2007

Unquote.

Even my data is showing some thing similar. Number of stocks above their 50 DMA's is approaching the extreme level.

Let's see.

Hello

Don't know how much relevant it is, just adding my 2 cents.

The market action for last 2 days is exactly similar to that of Nov 28 and 29.

Don't know much about fractals etc, but if the similarity persists we should see an upward move.

Thanks

Updated till Monday,December 10. Number of stocks above their 50 dma's is at record high and has crossed the previous peaks (yellow colored circles). Is this sustainable?

a smart ruse I would say by the ops, many on sidelines wait for a break of tops, in the meantime everything caught fire except the index.... so now the top broken everyone invited to enter at massively rigged levels..
