Here we compare HDFC Bank and SBIN. To calculate the relative strength, we divide HDFC price by SBIN price, and this ratio is plotted against SBIN. Here is a good article on Pairs Trading. http://www.investopedia.com/articles.../04/090804.asp
I am keeping this simple but will experiment with sigma- standard deviation. Cheers! ss
