Has anyone traded or does anyone know anything about Woodies CCI trading system, apparently he's been doing it for 26 years which implies it must be profitable or else he's loony and so are countless others.:p

your second observation seems more correct :D i have hung around his forum, talked to quite a few...they are all gaga about him, but if u ask about profitability the answers you get are pathetic!! or may be thy are a rare species of traders who dont brag about their profits!

amkbsc have you traded his system he relies on three pattern formations along with the cci, have long have you been trading it and do you find it profitable? I was unable to find any record of its performance

Woodies CCI works. One has to get used to it . I have been trading Indian Stocks with WCCI along with several of our friends . What I have inferred after trading it for about 4 months now that it works well if applied with common sense. Although Ghost and Vegas are more important patterns , but ZLR is the one that comes by freequently and profitable. Also the first pulll back of the price along with slingshot of CCI works well; I also trade WCCI along with Linda Raschke's Stochastics(7,10,3). Shiree

I am new to CCI Ttradind system.I will be grateful if somebody explain significance of
numbers in WCCI (downloaded from Amibroker site) and colour Bars in the hitogram in
orther cci system

EOD daily data ?

It seem that u have not learnt it properly.
I have tried many indicators and systems, CCI is more reliable for daytrading. You have to trade higher volumes for small profit to profit from CCI patterns the chances of making loss is small. Of course you have to have faith in CCI indicator and should have little common sense.
