Default Eyeballing the Charts

Dear friends,

hello

As we all know that nothing can serve us better then looking at the charts. But to see all the charts is a big task. I am thinking of making a team in which we can share the work as well as the fruits. If we are able to make a team of 5-6 persons we can eyeball the carts and share the prospective profitable trades.

Regards
Rajeev

Dear rajeev

Obviously it is not possible to eyeball the charts of all the stocks.

Few suggestions....

It may be a good idea to shortlist the stocks based on certain conditions snd eyeball only those stocks. Now the question is what could be criteria for the shortlisting. There could be a few.

Stocks that could be starting an intermediate up trend. Use moving averages, macd etc with ADX.

Stocks that are under consolidations for some time. These could be good breakout candidates. Some basic consolidaion formulas's could be used.

There could be more such criteria. Once the shortlisted stocks are eyeballed those found interesting could be put under favorites(Easy in Amibroker) and watched on daily basis.

regards

KM

Dear KM,
Thanks for the quick rely. Yes it is tru that eyeballing all the stock will be extreamly difficult. I was also considering the the shortlisting stocks with to find out Intermediate trend. However with recent Deep correction i am fearing that results of any Formulla may not be very good but still it will be useful to shortlist. I will like to develop some trend testing formullas but am just learning AFL and it may take some time to really get something worthwhile.
Do u have any AFLs developed for this or can we work as a team or this.
I have your MABIUTS formulla
will this work to indentify the intermediate trend.
Do u have AFL to check consolidation, if not how can we develop one - I was thinking if Price kept on mving within range of 10-15% for a period of 3 - 3.5months. ( 70-80 sessions) can we make such an exploration.

Thanks

Rajeev

Hi,

Like advised to me by seniors, initially one can concentrate on Nifty Fifty, and later on proceed to higher numbers like, Nifty Junior, etc.

As far for sample AFLs, Royal please have a look at AFL Library. If you don't have it, you can find in our forum itself. It contains some very good AFLs, with real life systems, indicators, etc. It can save lots of your time.

Praveen.

Dear Rajeev

Yes Mabiuts generally picks the intermediate uptrend. of course it is still not flawless as it suffers during sideways market.

I do have some formulas for consolidation. I remeer posting it somewhere. I will serch it out whenever I get time. We can also use ADX for cosolidaing stocks. ADX lying low for a long time does indicate consolidating stocks.

I will try to work out some scans when time permits. Sorry to keep repeating..that I am a little tied with my works

regards

KM
