sometimes I get 0 kbps or 4-5 kbps download speed and some times 200-300 kbps, inconsistent download speed it keeps changing :(
If thats the case then it could some serious technical issue(from Isp end). I had used MTSsince its inception in india till it was discontinued in maharshtra( used while roaming as well) it was one of the best that i had used. Consistent and amzing speed. since then i used many other 3g.

I found tata docomo economical and consistently good (speed), during tech issue it was bad like what u r facing.

if issue is from your end then
Check for good antivirus, uninstall unnecesary applications, use msconfig to check/ start -stop some unwanted services, applications. Disable firewall-antivirus for testing purpose!

customize your windows to run on performance based instead of good visuals.

Now check the performance of system and net.

one more thing i personally experienced, that post paid 3g dongle work consistenly good with speed and without disconnections. Cant claim is 100% true but i was facing issue of internet disconnection after few hours but that has issue has resolved with the pospaid connection of same company 3g sim on same old cracked/hacked data card.
try vodafone as well or airtel 4g.

Hope that helps

I am using Netgear Data Card 720 rs bought from amazon, and Huawai power fi
1650rs from market bought, both gives me excellent speed in aircel network with out any disconnect in 3g and consumption hourly with only nest trader on
is about maximum 6mb, for 10hrs in mcx nearly 40mb.i am using aircel 299
i get 1.8GB + 200 talk time 200talk time can be converted to 2GB
so 299=3.8GB 3G in bangalore.

speed/performance also depend on data card ?
I have netsetter bought from ebay 4-5 years ago , I use idea/airtel 3G SIM in it but not satisfactory speeds , may be poor network at my place.
buying new data card may improve performance ?

Ravi upgrade it! its a pity old dongle u r using it might not handle data speed over 3mbps.

Now virtually all the new dongle can handle speed over 20mbps, If u decide to stick with only one operator then go for there own dongle. (would be costly but would work good)

If u decide to use more operators(tata docomo, vodafone) then go for open dongle that works with all but yes u might face occasional disconnections or slow speed at times but wont be visible with new dongle as all has good speed.... prefer 3 g /4g its very good for us.....

I used Intex(open),Micromax(open),reliance,vodafone open dongle(k3) series...

I used all the providers(isp) with all the dongles.(data card for sim)

My experienace with all was good but i never faced issue with vodafone with vodafone:thumb: sim in it...ie even on after continuous usage of 20 h and then going into expiry day not even single glitch or no disconnections

If u can hold for few months then wait for reliance JIO.

bot this Huawei-E8221 data card

I keep this dongle (airtel 3G) connected to USB port in desktop as I use BSNL BB as primary connection.
earlier I have to open Mobile partner application and from there connect tab to connect the idea netsetter. but this new datacard automatically connects like BB that means there are two internet connections simultaneously BB & airtel 3G .
so one solution is remove the dongle and connect to USB only when BB fails .
second solution is disable the "local area connection 2" which this data card using , is it ok ?
