How to get my computer's audio from my TV speakers?

#1
I want to get pc's audio from my tv speakers. My pc's speakers are no longer working. That's why i'm looking for other option.
I've a basic tv with simple ports like audio, video (yellow, red & white) which are used to connect dvd player to my tv.My tv hasn't any extra modern port like vga etc. etc.
Will Y adapter[1 side for pc & other side with two pins{red & yellow}] work that i use to connect my speakers with pc.
My tv's model is LG golden eye (bought 10 yrs. back & still working with no problem)

Hi Shubham,

For Only Sound:

You will need a cable which has an EP jack at one end and and 2 RCA Jacks at the other end.
Connect the EP Jack to your computer's headphone & if the computer EPs are colour coded then it is normally Lime Green in colour & RCA jacks to your TV

Alternatively you get another cable which has 2 EPs at one end and 3 RCAs at the other end of the cable... RCAs will into the 3 available ports your described and the 2 EPs should be plugged into Headphone & Video Out of your computer.

Shubham,

Any Cable that has has less jacks at one end than the other is usually referred to as Y CABLE.

Y adapters are small objects or a box that is used to convert the different jacks to the required jacks.

It is not the same.

Go through the Cables that you may have from Camcorder, Mobile Phones and DVD players and etc... you may find the necessary cable to connect your Computer to the TV for Sound.... and if you do find the required Cable.... use the money saved to treat yourself... to Golgappes... :)

Yes... that is the one which has the Black EP at one end and the Red & White RCA at the other end.....

Black EP goes into green or the port marked with headphone on the computer and the other two goes into Left & Right Audio into your TV .... Usually the Yellow one in the TV should be Video IN ...so skip it... and anyways even if you connect to find out there won't be any sparks or explosions...you can hot plug to check....:)
