Thumbs up Basic Guide For Downloading Through Torrents

These days torrents provide a lot of information as information is not on servers rather just among users all the time
What we achieve using torrents is higher speed and low costs of handling files
Leaving that part question many people ask is how to download using Torrents

We'll answer is very simple
Torrents are not actual files but just a header file which are generally few Kb in size
In other words it just tells the location of the actual file

So no one else than uploader itself is responsible if someone pirates something using torrents which now account for more than 50% of total piracy world-wide
But it can be user for good as I did for the archive of Saint that I uploaded on torrents so that many more people can get benefit of learning from those

So here are steps
Step 1
You must have a client/software which can decode the torrent file to download it from its location
You can get one from
www.utorrent.com i.e www(dot)utorrent(dot)com
or just google it you'll file many such liek Bitcomet,Flashget etc etc

Now get the torrent (Skip if you have already downloaded the torrent)

Open the torrent in utorrent (Generally Double Click)

Give the location for saving the file & wait till download completes

-----------------------------------------------------------
Things To Remember
-----------------------------------------------------------
As soon as you start download it will take few minutes(not more than 2) to gain speed so wait
Just check out the no of seeders (there must be atleast 1)
Greater the no of peers & seeders greater will be speed (max will be of ur conn.)
Don't try to download files you don't know , they may harm your PC

If you still find problem in downloading please reply

I think AZUREUS is the best torrent client... I have been using it for more than a year now. Download from http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

I am a new user of Azureus. On the extreme right handside bottom corner of the application, I see info 'Download & Upload speed'. Does it mean that someone else is able to access files on my computer? How can i block the same ?

Thx
Vishal

Torrents are based on "Mutual Sharing"
All people download as well as upload
WARNING : If you reduce your upload speed your download speed will be reduced too

All people upload as well as download
A simple suggestion for all "Try uTorrent"
uTorrent is very basic & easy to use
