Service tax and educational cess

2005-2006, service charge 10% and 2% educational cess on that brokerage was paid to broker. Whether educational cess is applicable on 12% service tax now in 2006-07 also? Can someone clarify this?

Yes, education cess of 2% is applicable on service tax of 12%.
