!!! TRADERJI PLEASE GUIDE!!!
On intraday trades, other than Security Transaction Tax and Service Tax my Broker is charging me something called Turnover Tax at 0.018% on buy and sell and 0.002% of Stamp Duty on Buy and Sell. I am not sure if these taxes exist at all for intraday and derivative trades. !!! SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME IF THESE TAXES EXISTS FOR INTRADAY AND DERIVATIVE TRADING......... AND WHERE CAN I FIND THE CORRECT VALUES FOR THESE TAXES !!!! THANKS Last edited by Surendra Upadhyay; 24th January 2006 at 08:16 PM. Reason: Doubt not cleared |

If you are actually referring to Transaction Tax introduced in the last budget then here is the lowdown:
Delivery-based trade in equities = 0.15 per cent (split equally between the buyer and the seller) Day-traders and arbitrageurs = 0.015 per cent Derivative traders = 0.01 per cent |
