Do we need to pay income tax for Trading Profit?

Hi all Experts,

Do we need to pay the Income Tax for Profits earned by Trading?
If yes then what are Tax Slabs?
Do we need to sumbit all trading History in March while paying our Salary or any other Income Tax?

Yes,
Tax slabs are as mentioned in the IT clubbed along with your other income

As far as i understand,

1. Intraday CASH trades - Treated as Speculative Profits or Loss... cannot be set off against any other heads...can be set off against the same head only...can be carried forward

2. All F&O trades - Business Income

3. Swing Cash trades for couple of days - IT dept treats this as speculative only. My auditor says that we can treat this as Short term capital gains and pay lesser rate (basically he says that whichever is favorable for us, can be taken that way)

4. Short term cash trades - which are less than 1 yr old holding - Capital gains at lower rates

5. Long term for >1 yr - No taxes at all....but u have to show it in the returns

Correct me where ever iam wrong
