what should housewife should mention for source of income in PAN card ?

If a minor has been issued PAN card (obviously without his photo) then after attaining 18 yrs of age that is to be changed. Of course again fee will be charged.

The question is contradictory in itself. If wife is a "Housewife" how will she earn any income ? You paying your wife for the keeping and taking care of the house/family ?

So the answer is "No Income" or "Not Employed"

A housewife has no regular income from a job or investment. Thus, she should always mention "No Income" or "Not Employed" under the source of income option in PAN Card application form 49A.
