NRIs are exempt from filing return
Is there any section in ITA that exempts NRIs from filing IT return? If so, could you please quote the section number?

Re: NRIs are exempt from filing return
There is no specific provision in Income tax Act, 1961 which exempts an NRI from filing his tax return. However, if any one has taxable income in India he is obliged to file his tax return or one whose income is not taxable but there is tax deduction at source from his otherwiese nontaxable income, he is to file return of his income to claim REFUND OF TAX.
