Govt postpones withholding tax on NRI deposits
Govt postpones withholding tax on NRI deposits
The government has decided to postpone a tax on deposits from Indian expatriates to April 1, 2005, the finance minister said on Thursday. Palaniappan Chidambaram said the decision to tax aircraft leasing had also been postponed to the same date.
