ITR-4 experts .. Please Help!
Hello Friends!
I have one basic question. I havent done anything on tax as yet except preparing a excel sheet with summary of total income, total investment, total expenses and total tax payable. I am self employed doing odd small data entry jobs for foreign clients. After some lengthy discussion in this forum (especially with diosys.. he is not seen nowadays probably due to heavy workload), I found out I have file ITR-4 form i.e income from business/profession. I am preparing to fill ITR-4 form online and send it to IT all on my own as the experts around my area are ignorant of my profession that is income from foreign sources. Now my query is , when I downloaded ITR-4, I find lot of pages (about 19 of them) some of which I know it is no way connected to my profession, like income from house property, agriclulture, shares etc etc. At this point, my only request is some experts out here please advise me which are the pages I should fill up and can convieniently forget about the rest. By this way, I know I have to concentrate only few pages and can submit online. Therefore experts who already know what ITR-4 is, please help!!! 31st July is fast approaching and I am bit in tension. I like to keep my books clean. This is the first time ever, I have come under IT slab and hence this confusion. Thanks & Regards Jeet

Where r u living ?
This doesn't matter for whome u r working........Indian or foreigner.... If u r residant indian and doing job in country.........,don't be confused, prepare it under Income from Business or Profession. For nature of business (page 2) use others (code no 0714 or 0404) There are 21 pages in this form and it is in such a manner that u have to fill something on every page so please check carefully, otherwise First 14 pages are necessary......., page 19 for deductions.........21 for TDS etc, better get it done by some professional.
