Is it mandatory/ compulsory for a unregistered partnership firm to submit IT return even if it has been incurring loss? Is the position any different if such a firm has obtained a PAN number?
if it is incurring losses, it in not compulsory. but to carry forward losses to be set off in future years, you have to file the return before the due date for filing returns.

Any firm (profit or loss) has to compulsorily file its return....
