Tax on PF Withdrawal URGENT!!!
Hi everyone,
I had withdrawn the PF amount when I left my first job where I worked for around an year. The PF account was with the govt and not the company trust. I got the PF amount of Rs.6300 credited to my bank account 3 months from then. I came to know that PF amount was taxable since it was withdrawn in less than 5 years. Now, I need to info for filing returns. 1. whether the tax was deducted at source or not. 2. What part of the amount is taxable? (My contribution / Employer Contribution / Interest) 3. Where to fill this details in ITR-Form? I havn't filed my returns because of this, which is pending with 2 months penalty interest. I tried posting in many forums for last 1 month and I was unable to get solution for this. Hope I can get a solution here asap. Thanks a lot in advance.
