nifty swing trading ideas without TA

Hi Gurmy,
This is interesting. What is your view on trying this for intraday / 15min or 30 min charts (instead of EOD charts) for highly volatile stocks (can be across 2-3 days, without taking delivery).
Did you get a chance to backtest this?

i did a little backtesting for intraday,but initial results are not encouraging,so i left it
but if u want to go for intraday,try 1 hr bar
select some high volume stocks,ie rel cap,icici,sbi,tatamotor and simply buy/sell at the high/low of pr bar with s/l ,high/low of that bar
only thing,keep target small
and do some backtesting first

update on system call
the last call generated by system was BUY on 26.11.12 @5649
with buying two lots,one lot was closed at the same day with a loss of 20 pts
EXIT for long call is 5855(low of 3.12.12) (this exit is valid for today only)
so a profit of(5855-5649-20)=186 pts is already locked
nifty spot is 5880 at present

Very good concept, Even the person who doesnot know TA can understand your system.. So when you did back testing, How was the result (Means Sucess %)?

But this system seems to be like NR-7 concept.. Only difference is NR-7 doesnot define Target ... Could you please go through NR-7 setup thread in Traderji and check.

yes ,concept is little bit similar to NR-7,and i already knew that
as i already mentioned that basic idea is not mine
i just modified it to my liking
moreover,i always want to be in trade

Hi Gurmy, Correct me if i am wrong.. for 5 th december calls : Long would be initiated if nifty crosses above 5899 and shorts would be initiated if nifty crosses below 5854.. Sl for longs will be 5859 and for shorts it would be 5894... I have considered 3 and 4 th december as the two days...

as the long signal which came on 26.11.12 is still on
so no fresh long to be initiated

yes u have understood it correct,for today short is below 5855(lowest of last two days) and s/l for this is 5895

all calls are valid for today only
