I am currently a member of a course: www.learntotradethemarket.com

It's quite a cheap course and this coach named Nial Fuller teaches Price Action trading for Forex. He's very very good. The principles of this trading are also valid in the stock market since it works with the Dow Jones Index.

For those who do not know, Price Action is the simplest way of trading in the market using Japanese Candlesticks.

I'm thinking of using it in the Indian Stock Market. Anybody else use Price Action in the stock market?

P.S. Some principles are the same. For instance a Shooting Star is an inverted Pin Bar, and so on.

Do let me know.

Thanks,
Yogasutra.

Dear Yogasutra.. :) a Trader who can understand price action will be a Successful trader for sure..... but understanding price action is not a simple job.... or....that might be a toughest way of trading..
that may be the reason ppl are usng indicators and other technical stuffs...

I cannot agree to that. I have seen newbies pick it up in a month. And they're now trading like pros. The reason it seems tougher is because people wish to day trade and seem satisfied with 1 & 2%. However if used on the daily charts and the 4-hr charts (and rarely even the 1 hr chart) it is the most stress-free way to trade. I trade forex and have already added 25% to my account in 20 days, using a mix of Price Action and Money Management techniques taught by my coach.

The thing is that I may be moving back to India shortly, so will be unable to trade in Forex. I was wondering if anybody else also trades using PA. Apparently, there's a guy on traderji named Hik who has been doing it quite successfully. He seems to have quite a following already.

what are you saying ...price action is the toughest way of trading infact

Namaste,

I have just replied to a posting below about the toughness of trading using Price Action. I cannot agree to that.

I don't use indicators except 8&21-day EMAs. And that too just to see the slope and use them as dynamic support and resistance. Prices tend to respect these lines during and up/downtrend. So just for that. Else PA only. One of the indicators would be showing Overbought levels for the Yen since it hit 80. And now it is at 93 (I trade forex btw as you would have guessed). If I would have followed this indicator I would not have any money off it. Other people are making thousands and millions off the Yen at the moment using PA. The thing is that people want to be sure of their trades. But there is no such thing as a sureshot trade. There are high-probability trades and lower-probability trades and trades in between. Indicators may make a trader feel confident but are no guarantee of success. Which is why so many people fail as traders.

I truly believe that you should visit this site learntotradethemarket. It's by this Australian guy who teaches forex using only PA, nothing else.

What I had wanted to know was if PA was as effective in the Indian Stock Market, as I may be shifting back to India. Apparently, it is. I have been seeing postings by this boarder named Hik on traderji who is trading using this way and teaching it to others too.

Namaste.

Namaste,

When I say one of the indicators, I meant one of the popular indicators used by traders today - The Stochastic Oscillator, not the 8&21EMAs. The EMAs are very good and a must use.

Namaste.

I started with 1 lakh............I am withdrawing the profit made at the end of every month.

As you said, the journey has not been easy............but its possible with consistent efforts and learning.
