As you know I was trapped in RENVL and RCAPVL but I have 100% gain in RNRL (entry was 19), but yesterday I sold 50% of my stock in RNRL as it was trading @37 after 3-5 hrs in upper circuit.

Also I want to invest in other share, so would like to know if there is any dark horse (likeGTL) present in the market.

Your kind help is highly appreciated.

Warm regards
sjoshi
Hi Joshi, you did alright taking out half from RNRL. The others are strong too but a hold for the mid to long term

As for dark horses, hey, we are in capital markets and not at the races!
I've been tracking Gaberial India, an auto parts player, which may likely come strong going ahead.
Trading a shade under 28 now, an important support area, a move above 29-31 should set it up nicely.
For me these small money counters are all for a couple of quarters at least, so don't expect fireworks but good steady growth.
All the best.

Hi Gaurav...this is from Jan 29 when you queried the possible targets on Mold-Tek. :

A close above 49-53-56 would hasten it towards 65 and above this to 71-74-77. When this happens is impossible to say but it will likely follow the numbers listed. Make a note if you are in.
Will check the Excel file later and write back.
Bye for now.
It's trading around 67 now I believe.
Great trade as always, Gaurav...great going.
Some other time for the rest of the query!
All the best.

Hi Amit,

Thanks man what do i say..ur good wud be an understatement..mold tek is movin as predicted ..lookin set to reach 71-74-77..

thote i shud share...the inflexion point for a trader is when he is able to break the linkage between the quantum of money he is investing and the expected return..

once u get comfy wit trades of 10k's and make money consistently...sometimes u go and invest 50ks at a go..but more often than not u end up makin losses...because when u go for this trade greed(profits that u cud earn from this 50 k trade) affects ur Rationality and ur decision to go for this trade is more often than not ruled by exhuberance rather than rational thinking...

This as u mite observe is not the case when u go for a 10k trade..ur decision is always rational lacks exhubernace or unnecessary excitement and u make a rational decision to go or not go for this trade...

The above i believe is applicable for any trader the quantums cud vary depending on ur Margin of safety..so while i cud be comfy with a 10k trade but not wit a 50 k trade...the guy next door wud be comfy and rational when going for a 500k trade but wud loose his wares when going for a 5000k trade.

So for atrader to graduate to bigger trades while his MoS still being less it to disassociate the linkage between quantum and rational behaviour>

Does it make sense???

Thanks any way
Gaurav

Thanks Gaurav...makes absolute sense. There has to be be rationale behind every move one makes in the market. Exhuberance and frustrations are valid emotions but must never rule one's actions here.
All the best.

Dear Amit,
How are you, I am fine here. Got married in between so coming after some time.
What do u recommend for GSPL(GUJARAT STATE PETRONET LTD) CMP38/-
for a long term point of view. Is it right time to enter into this share.

And I am holding some shares of Pioneer investment CMP38/- . It is rising from last few days. Is it a hold as of now. Could you recommend a SL.

And Tata steel @351 CMP 467/-. Is it time to book profit.

Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Ashish

Question Re: Some Good Steals...

Hi,

I have been holding a sizable portion of all the demerged Reliance stocks. I am in a dilemma whether to hold on to them for mid to long term or start booking my profits? From whatever I have heard, prospects look good for long term but there is always a "wat if" associated with that decision. Could you please provide some technical insights as to hold them or not?

Thanks in advance for all the replies. This thread rocks!

-K

Hi Amit
I have a query on India Glycols . From the charts it looks like the major resitance points are at around 175 which is now broken and the next resistance point seems to be around 150 . The volumes at 150 seem to have been very high .

So is it reasonable to expect that India Glycol (CMP : 168 ) will consolidate around that range or will it go down even further ?

Is it advisable to enter at these levels ?

Vo apane chehare main sau afataab rakhate hain
Is liye to vo rukh pe naqaab rakhate hain

Vo paas baithe to aatii hai dilruba Khushbu
Vo apane hothon pe khilate gulaab rakhate hain

Har ek varq main tum hii tum ho jaan-e-mahabuubi
Ham apane dil ki kuchh aisi kitaab rakhate hain
