Got into dilink @149.90. is it wise to hold onto..? when u people say trailing stopLoss.. who to determine the same.. do guide me.. i am a dumbo

THNXS for your valuable suggestions which are appreciated by junior members like us.
I have 10 shares of praj industries which was quoted at Rs.1105.
however today it has gone split of 5 shares it si quoting at 112.50
my question is that when it opnened it should have opened at(1105/5)at 221
how they arrived at such figure. they have even announced a bonus of 1:1. Will the bonus issued after the split or before the split .
your reply will highly appreciated and it will prevent small novices frm falling into the bonus trap

No intentions to offend any one... but I have one request or call it suggestion

Hi faifar22
The way I see it is, you should divide 1105 by 10 and not by 5, which will give you about what it opened at. The reason is there is a 1:1 bonus as well which has to be factored in.
So, for your 10 shares of Rs.10 face value, you will now get 50 of Rs.2 face value. Now add the bonus 50 shares and you arrive at 100 shares in place of the original 10.
Therefore the current price is roughly there.
If any member finds a flaw in what I've written, please correct me. I've never had to deal with splits and bonuses etc.

Hi naga2054,
D-Link fell off today to closer lower than yesterday as on both days it was unable to clear the resistance at 153-155 levels. Volume too declined.
A rally to 165 plus would come only at clearing 155.
If you are in it for the mid term, hold for the up-trend to gain momentum.

If I may come in on this...
I'm always happy to assist with any queries put up by members on techs and fundaments both. Occasionally I miss out on something that gets buried under the posts, but I search through the thread each evening to see.
The members can ask, and if I know how to, I will answer. Just look through the thread for my replies. The Date/Time stamp on the posts makes it quite easy.
Besides helping, all this keeps my own head from getting thick...er...thicker!

But thanks amitkr...Not every call gets zooming, and I've had my share of flops!
Each step is a learning experience, eh?

yaar, i hold 3000 shares of balaji bght during a previous run up at 15.90 . Do u suggest me to book my profits.. at these levels.. or ne high targets awaiting this ?
