I was reading an article on Business Line and the Cement companies do expect lot of exports to happen to countries like Pakistan (post earthquake building process, US (hurricane aftermaths) and hence the interest.

VOLTAS: Thanks for your analysis on this stock (my query some time back) and the movement did happen as per your analysis. I am happy to say that I have booked my profits.

Thanks,
Prakash
Hi Prakash...they are both great counters, and Gujarat Ambuja would be more favoured in the mid to long term. Can be bought at declines, and 70-72 would be a great entry. I'm not sure if it will test 65-66 levels where it was recently. This is better off as an investment.
Ultra Tech, ACC, Shree Cement are all great counters, but for me represent a trend play...for which one would need to watch for entries.
India Cements is a dark horse in the sector and for the mid to long term too.
Regards.

hey saint..

not only i did capatalised on the bull run.. but your graph description has helped me a lot in logically finding the entries and exit of stocks.. just experimenting on it.. not trading though.. just watching if my predictions are coming true..

thanks for the excellent excellent write up....

I am in far greater debt to you then material gains that you have given me.. you have given me the gains of knowledge and understanding of something that I thought I will never be able to learn..

Thanks both amit and saint..

Panasonic AVC--------PAVCIEQ
Trigyn Tch------------TRIGYNEQ
Melstar Info-----------MELSTAREQ

Do you suggest entering these, at this stage?

many thanks
Hi gracec, Vardhman's charts suggest a struggle at every peak. The recent sharp fall may not be complete yet, as this may well be a corrective rally. This would especially be true if the fundamentals are not strong. One could review it at a close above 14.
BLB may be with a strict s/l below 9.
Panasonic if only it can sustain above 18 for a few sessions.
Trigen, if can break above and sustain 21-22...it'll negate a possible H&S there.
Melstar may be above 24...another H&S looming here.
Over all, my advise is have a close look at the fundamentals in these penny counters. If they are weak they'll hurt. There's nothing encouraging in the charts at this point in any of them.
All the best.

Hi Vicky...these are historic levels for Rolta and it has floundered here in the past. If it can break above 187-189 there would be some progress, or else it could slip. Except for some momentum I don't see a sharp jump here, certainly not one that can be sustained. It appears stretched, despite holding firm for quite some time. A faint possibility that a double top like pattern may play out.
Ranbaxy...not looking at the charts, and I keep out of counters that move in either direction on news...not even for bottom fishing.
Nothing for now in these, Vicky.
