Hi Chopra,
Have not much idea on GATDIS--- But regarding ISPAT---I think I can comment--- This is a stk---which is much controlled by F&O---Somewhat---a stk---similar like NTPC---- As this stk has a huge lot size--8000---hence its upside movement is very much regulated--- It had a 52 week low12.6---which occured a few days ago--now at 14.1-- A lot of brokers---and even I personally--is quite bullish in this stk---but---I think it is better to enter this stk in equity sector---once it sustains 14.5 for at least 2--3 trading sessions--only-----with a initial target of 17----highly probable thsi month---provided a good market exists--- regards, joy_mitali |

Thanks a lot joy_mitali.
Good to see your posts these days in this forum other than options. Always loved your valuable suggestions.. I had ispat 800@35 already with me brought at very high price. I think it can touch 22-25 again so I will be able to average out the losses. As few days back it was in those levels only. Regards, Ashish |

Great entry on Gateway. If you are holding for mid term, this one should go places once the market is back on track. Has been raring to go during the recent carnage and always looked good. There is not enough data to project a probable target, and you could trail stop it for now. Normally a range of 4% to 7% is good enough under most circumstances. Here for 7% at cmp 245 would be 245 minus 7%=228, or 245 minus 4%=235. 7% is normally used for average volatile and liquid counters, and 4% for more staid and illiquid ones. If 228 appears too deep, you could go with 235 which would give the counter just about enough leeway to correct and consolidate on its way up. Anything more than that and you are out to preserve profits. However do keep an eye as this one has shot up on less than average volume, where increased volume is a sure confirmation of a trend. On Ispat Joy has written some useful notes. Further, the steel sector has not been in favour for quite some time and has done nothing for the investors in the recent heady rally. There may be other more interesting ideas and would be happy to assist when you bring them up. And thanks for all the Urdu Shaeri! Regards. |

Hullo all.. I am a new member, but an old hand at equities...
Can recommend three good medium/long term picks... 1. Diamond Cables (down from 70s to 45) 2. Mindteck India (down from 70s to 38) 3. Gateway Distripark (up, up and away !?) Can anyone corroborate ? Also looking for advice / info on 1. Mangalam Timber (why has the turnaround started floundering ? ) 2. Mysore Cement ? (Will it ever become profitable?) Thanks |
