Hi Amit & Saint,
Today I observed abnormal behaviour in PetronetLNG, when it opened around 60 and then immediately shootup to 71 and again was moving near by 59 or 60 within 1-2mins. This was in BSE only.

Can you please throw some light , why it was so. ?

Regards

Will be able to guide me as I have purchased the shares @ 128/- when CNBC Had suggested that it is is sure to go up and there is no question of Stop Loss on this stock. Its financials are all good still It does not move. What should be the strategy now.

Chandu
Hi Chandu, 137 to 143 are the levels at which GTL reacts badly. It's been here a couple of times in a longish span of time. It reacts in the 125-130 area too.
It's been in a long term sideways correction within a broadish range, and a close above 140 with increasing volume would set it up for a breakout.
For now there is support at 106-108, and 103-104, below which it could drop lower.
Unfortunately your entry is in the upper reaches of the trading range and looks distant from the current moves. Having held it for so long, I would suggest hold for now. It has dropped to lower levels and you have held, and should bounce off from those levels again. The current drop is on decreasing volume and further down, buying is likely to return. When it does come near your entry, one can assess it again.
I am making these suggestions looking at the historical data and your time horizon only. The technicals indicators would throw up a mixed bag of readings for initiating a fresh buy or sell trade in it.
WIsh you the best.

Hi Amit
How r u? The market situaltion is very difficult for me to understand. I would like to know about some of the scrips I am holding:

Hi Joshi...yes, I just checked both the charts at BSE and NSE and there is such a move at BSE only.
For the life of me I'm unable to say what happened.
Quite possibly it was just one freak trade and nothing else.
Hey, people are known to push wrong buttons here, right?!
Cheers.

Dear Amit,
Pls. advice, is it a right time to enter into:
Ranbaxy cmp 443/-
Gujrat Ambuja 68/-
I will be looking for around 6-12months investment.

I was thinking of picking Ranbaxy below 400 mark but it seems like rebounding back.
Thanks,

Regards,
Ashish

Hi Vicky...from the point of view of the wider market, don't go long on any counter. The current rally has a lot to do to prove itself yet.
From thechs, I would wait for 120 with increased volume where a short trade could be considered for 135-140 target. At 120 the s/l would be 116.
Cheers.

Hi Suja...I'm not sure where Hotline Glass is today, but if it's keeping above 11-12 it's safe. Important support is at 10 below which it could slip. To the up, it has to close above your entry and then 15 with volume to regain the trend.
Facor Alloys may be giving a slight head up, and I wonder if it has gained this morning? Again a close above your entry wold make gains. There's not much historical data here, but below 8.50 lies danger.
Facor Steel looks pretty weak from last night's 8.98 close. If it tests 8.25 this too could slip further. A close above 10 would keep it safe.
Vishal Exp I'm afraid is not looking good either. This has been much discussed at Ravi's thread and I believe the fundamentals are strong here. It's hanging on to very little and below 6.30 would drop further. Above 7.60 it would return to safe grounds.
Difficult call, Suja. Facor Alloys appears the best on the data so far, though very weak. Do update the current prices today if possible.
Best wishes.
