Hi Winstonn,

Whether this clicks or not i like your innovative approach.

However since this is more of a testing excercise rather than real recos i'd suggest you attach an appropriate disclaimer to your posts.

And off course - keep going

Regards,
Kalyan.

Winstonn
Once in a while, can we buy on the friday and sell on the following monday ?

After all, charts do not recognise days of the week ... sure you know that

System Buy Signal

only midcaps and small caps which have gain 10% and over in one trading session on thursday are valid

After 10% gain on thursday , either of the next two trading sessions ( friday or monday )must be down.

Buying is initiated at closing bell on monday , selling on closing bell at friday.

System assumes:
1) It requires too much negative sentiment and money to change the trend , hence trend would continue after a pause.

2) Operator action

Be ready to see the calls on monday

Well i'd generalize it in this way :-

Buy a day or two after the price spike (on a pullback) & hold for 3-5 days. The base of the pullback would act as your SL level. Is that OK Winstonn?

I think Winstonn chooses Friday for the sell as that is the day traders usually take profits. (He's probably also banking on this & the unusual spurt the preceding day for the buying pullback. Hence the choice of Thursday for the price spike).

In other words he's trying to make combined use of two things 1) the short term bullishness in the stock & 2) the short term mkt cycle.

I am also closely tracking your theory. It does seem to make sense in theory.
Best wishes

When you buy the stock on Monday, the delivery is effected latest by thursday(T+2) or Friday only. So,even if the stock goes below Thursday low before that,we are helpless. So also, when it goes up in between.right?
