Generally company's share price will increase before Record Date of BONUS, for Retail Investor it will give opportunity to come out of it.

Reliance power will give 3 bonus shares for every five shares. That is if one has 100 shares then after ex-date they will become 160 shares but the price will be adjusted by the market automatically. It then depends on demand and supply wether one profits or loses. The company claims to have the largest family of shareholders in the world (about 4.2 million shareholders.)

I have got just 17 shares of relaince power in IPO. The IPO price was I guess RS450 now it is trading at 420. So by today's calculation if we get 5 shares for every 3 that means 17/3 that way I'll get around 5 * 5 = 25 shares at current price right?

So if 450 * 17 = 7650 was invested and we get 420 * 25 = 10500 that means 10500 - 7650 = 2850 is my profit right?

I have few more questions
1) What was the exact price of reliance power IPO
2) Even if I buy relaince power shares now will I get bonus shares for the shares I buy now or this offer is just for IPO.
I am new to this please explain
