Yes, thats actually doubt..for person who have brought shares at face value may be gr8, but for ex. if someone told for 100 shares i will get 100 rs divident, is 100 rs any way benefit who has brought 100 shares at 1035/- by all those, 1oo shares costs more than 1 lack rs, and for that only 100 rs divident

Well actually that may be not the correct way to see it, in my view, the company has started giving dividend to improve its image may be more important, On that face value I dont think there will not be many companies which would give such dividend, it is the change in companies image and the related share price appreciation which would interest any investor. Their are many fund houses which go for only those companies which have good growth going forward plus they should be a dividend paying company which in prompts them to hold them in their portfolio.

yes, It is looking weak, though I am accumulating some for swing trade as it is giving wild swings.

It is hovering around its strong support of around 430 from where it last bounced back, todays volumes are also encouraging.

Looking very difficult, I'll be very happy if it touches 4 digits by year end. Waiting for AGM and Annual report for further triggers.

no glimmer of hope for this secter in 2008........rising inputs , strained capital & rising interest rates ,wanning FII interest in this secter will make it a top underperformer vis a vis mkt.......
