Now OR Nest?

Hi

I have used Nest before and I don't have any issues with it, however I changed my broker recently and they are offering me a choice in between NEST and NOW?

Which one you are using?
Any major differences between the both?
Which one you would recommend?

I am using NOW, no issues. But if you are trading commodities then you cannot go for NOW, only NEST
BTW, which broker you have chosen now and something about their brokerage and services.

NOW - directly connects with NSE so more speed and less slippage.

How can NOW connect directly to nse?

How will risk be managed? Nse doesn't track our funds and position, broker does, right?

Nothing to do with risk, fund etc.. it only has to do with the data connectivity

NOW - App is connected to NSE servers directly so there is least chance of data being incorrect. Maintained by NSE so fault will come only when something goes wrong at NSE.

NEST - Connected to broker's server which are installed at NSE. Maintained by brokers so fault will come either when something goes wrong at NSE or at Broker's end (2 scenarios)

What could be the fault - Could be like crashing, haning etc coz some hardware/software issues at broker's end. Another example is what happend last year with zerodha's NEST. For 15 min, nest was showing inflated price.. which caused loss to many traders. Now things like this are rare.. but why take chances

Advantage of NEST is it has some other features that NOW doesn't... so choice is of individual.

BTW... if you go with NOW, you won't be able to access BSE and MCX.

BSE also available with NOW ...may be some brokers charging for BSE

Oh ok.. not sure about other discount brokers then. But I dnt see how they are offering BSE with NOW. NOW is exclusively supported by NSE which is rival of BSE

Zerodha doesn't offer BSE & MCX if switched to NOW.

I am using nest trader, how to download now platform for trading for zerodha, kindly advice if any thread is there for this manish bro, thanks.

You have to call zerodha and request for NOW activation. Usually will be done within 24 -48 hrs.
