Charting Software

I want to buy a charting software for intra-day and eod data. I am totally confused which one shall i use and how much does it cost?
I was interested in Metastock or Metatrader 4. But I dont know which to go for. Can someone help me

U can go for AmiBroker, very reasonable price (marketcalls). It's very easy to use and U can get free eod and realtime data links.

For Metastock, you will have to shell out about 30K for the software + approx. 10,000 bucks (maybe more) for ONLY EOD data. Intraday data feed will cost more. As a newtrader (as your name suggest) do you really want to shell out this kind of money? Much of the stuff in Metastock may be available in other free software like ChartNexus (with free EOD data) which you may want to consider. However, maybe you have good enough reason for going in for Metastock, but would suggest you to do proper research. Don't have much idea about Metatrader so cannot comment. However, would suggest you to have a look at Sharekhan's Trade Tiger, which is an excellent intraday + EOD charting tool with free data. Only you may have to do a certain minimal amount of brokerage to avail it. But would DEFINITELY recommend you to have a look at at it before you commit to something else. My 2C.

RTDS data provider provides 10 years EOD data with metastock, you can analyze that...

why aggressive marketing for rtds data

their data is very poor

I am a user of rtds for past 2 months but I did not realise still now that their service is poor.
I am not doing their marketing just I am expressing my experience with them.
