Stock Scanner

Hello TJ members

I have an idea in mind to develop a stock scanner which would scan stocks after 3.30 for the next day to trade. However i do not have access to any software which does that. So far i have been using Tradetiger which does not support this function.

Which software could help me develop this idea into a EOD stock scanner ? I have heard nothing but good things about Amibroker and Metastock and i am contemplating a purchase. Which one will be helpful to me given the above context ?

What type of screener you are looking for? Can you explain further this strategy?

I should be able to help, Although I am not using any of the tools like Amibroker or Metastock, Instead I am developing a web based tools to help me to build by trade/portfolio.

I can't explain the strategy. But for the sake of simplicity lets assume the strategy is when simple (MA) 1 crosses simple (MA) 2 on DAILY CHARTS a signal is generated either long/short depending on the crossover. Now can i generate a scanner which will pull up all the stocks where a crossover has taken place ? This has to be done on an EOD basis and not in between market hours. Hope this hypothetical example conveys what i am looking for.

Both Amibroker and Metastock have such capabilities. I afraid all these softwares are somewhat costly. Most people use pirated versions. You can also give keystocks a try. I am happy to say that it has been developed by a fellow member of Traderji. You can find details at keystocks.co.in

For Indian's i recommend Professional version of Amibroker.

by the way Amibroker is the only advanced and lightest software ever built.

it has Infinite Capabilities u imagined ....if u know coding as well.

Yes if you looking more for a scanner than it would be best choice , really a great time saver because it give scan results in images as shown in attached image.

Is there any existing user of Amibroker here ? Where can i get historical data as well as current EOD data from ?
