This weekend my PC got infected by a trojan. Norton culd no eliminate it . however my firewall was stopping it from accessing the internet.
Still the problem remained and it was mutiplying. itried various online scans but to no avail. Finally I contacted my office system adminstrator and told him my problem this morning. He gave me a very good tool of MCafee and asked me to run it in safe mode. It took about 5 hours to scan each and every file in my pc and delted all infected files. I hv uploaded this tool in ********** for the benefit of others. Procedure: Download the folder called scan.zip Extract contents of the zip file to c:\scan Download link: http://**********.de/files/24712484/scan.zip.html after extractiing as abvove do the followiing: Boot PC in safe mode with command prompt. While booting the pc, if u keep pressing F8 key , u will get a screen with lot of options like: safe mode safe mode with networking support safe mode with command prompt and so on. now with help of down arrow key select safemode with command prompt and enter. then u will get a screen: c:\Documents and Settings\......... type cd\scan you will be in c:\scan then type the follwoing command scan/all/adl/clean and press enter. the scanning and cleaning process will start. YOu may switch off the monitor( not the pc) and go for a movie and come back and your pc will be clean of viruses! |
