Thanks mate. Please wait for the next version, your wish should be in. And yes, we can use average volume in place of last volume for your formula. I liked your idea of putting % in the GAP column for FL and FH. Guess we should have it in the next version. You seem to be suggesting to give some buy/sell recommendations. The idea you have expressed looks good. However, in the initial versions I plan to leave the buy sell decisions to the user only. There will never be any restriction to the code, so one can modify it as per his need. Only constraint, you have to shoot a mail at my address for the password. I love to see mails(not spams ) in my inbox. Also, for those who have an IDEA but are not programmers, I will make sure to implement it and make it available on the forum. Guys, I am almost done. Should be able to release the next version very soon. Hopefully by this Sunday evening. It is in the testing phase. Waiting for the green signal. Also, need to put a new help file, a lot has changed.(Even the name ) And I assure you, if you liked the first version, you will love this new version. This time the sheet has a trader's mind too.(Ofcourse that mind is not mine )PS- The comments/view ratio remains the same ![]() Best Regards Coool. Not a bug .That’s because such scrip might not have found any buyer/seller on one of the days in considerations. And since we are using *****'s data, may be they have not updated the price for that particular scrip. The best is to read N/A as not applicable for any trade. ![]() In the next version, this should not be the case, as we will be rejecting such in the selection stage itself. Best Regards Coool. |

Hello Friends
It takes me immence pleasure to introduce the new version of GapAna. A lot has changed since the first release of it. In fact, now using the old name to the sheet will be an injustice and misleading. The current version of the sheet aims to aid in Intraday trading and C O O L I N T R A suites better. Yep, thats the new name. I am currently working with one of the pros to better it towards a general trading and portfolio management Application (OK... Sheet). My aim of sharing it with the fellow borders is to contribute to this wonderful forum which has helped me in lot many ways. More importantly I feel that with coming up with such an approach, I am opening new avenues for myself in speeding up my learning. This is the price I have kept for the sheet. Am I asking for too big a price? What can you expect from the sheet? The sheet can help you in selecting scrip for trading. It will also keep you updated on the current price of the scrip. It will also give you the GAP, %Change, and the current price position. About the workbook: The workbook is a collection of four sheets. 1. The first sheet is the Help sheet, the content of the sheet is the same as the one you are reading. 2. The Second sheet is the one which has the raw data from NSE. On this sheet we try to pick the scrip that have a chance of providing some trading opportunity. We can say that this is the Homework sheet. Here we try to sort out the scrip on the basis of Volume, traded value and a minimum price. The aim is to at least not get in a trade where we don't find a buyer or seller against our position. Currently all the scanning values are hard coded. You will be required to put the previous traded date in the column indicated in this sheet. Please don't experiment with the date format. Then you should press the Prepare Sheet button. That's all. We are done with the homework. 3. The third sheet is the most important sheet as far as intraday trading is considered. It includes
How to use the sheet? Step1: On the master Specify the previous trading Day data as specified (DD-MMM-YYYY) and Press the Prepare Sheet. Step 2: During Trading Hours You must be logged in to ***** to get the Real time Detail. Otherwise, the quotes are delayed by 15 minutes. Use the Refresh button gets the latest data as of the current time. This will also color code the related columns. HW/SW Requirements: The sheet has been developed on Windows XP/ Excel 2002. I have not tested it on any other configuration. But, it should work fine on all windows platform. Disclaimer I have not cross checked all the data that is returned by the code. Error handling is at the least. You should believe the data provided at your own risk. The sheet can get stuck if you do not have access to the internet connection and try to refresh data. I assure you that there is no malicious virus embedded. However please run your virus scanner. Credits

Thanks a lot for the appreciation. Wonderful suggestion. I was not aware of this link. Seeing your wish, I was little hesitant and puzzled how to do it. Then saw the answer too. ![]() Currently using the one which I was aware of. I will provide this also as an enhancement. Now, I am getting what I wished for. ;-) Thanks once again. Had taken it out as one of the member reported that it was not working on his PC. After long discussion with him, could figure out that it was because of him changing the regional settings. Its working fine with him now. It has now been attached with the newer message. Soreee ![]() Please do provide your comments. And in case you have any technical issue, please let me know. There is lot more to be added so technical issues should be addressed first. Best Regards Coool. |
