buttons on List Form)
4. Highlights support and resistance (SAR button on Chart Form)
5. Sorts selected chart patterns to highlight most recent patterns found
6. After finding patterns, data can be placed on the clipboard or Excel for
analysis (see List Form)
7. Tells why a pattern was not recognized (the Why Not? button)
8. Tells about tested chart patterns, including failure rates and performance
tips (the Tell button)
9. Calculates a volatility stop for both up and down breakouts (the Volatility
button)
10. Calculates pivot points, S1, R1, S2 and R2 (see the Probability button)
11. Calculates a Fibonacci retrace for swing trading (see the Retrace button)
12. Calculates the probability of a price trend continuing (see the Probability
button)
13. Has trendline support click and drag the mouse (see the Chart Form)

Disadvantages

1. Since the utility uses MS Access for data storage there are certain limitations. In MS Access there is a limit to the capacity to store data. Currently my data storage in MS Access of NSE data from year 2000 to current date amounts to 220 MB. I still use the utility. I have been told usually MS Access supports storage up to a maximum of 75-100 MB. Regards,

Saji Oommen
MS-Access will work till the file size is less than 2GB. Once, the file size reaches 2GB, it stops working. In that scenario, one can export some of the tables to other MS-Access Dbase and then can work on the original file by creating links.

Dear Soumya!

When creating the output file in ASCII text, the header comes as <DTYYYYMMDD>,<OPEN>,<HIGH>,<LOW>,<CLOSE>,<VOL>.
Hence, patternz fails to read the file.

Any idea how to correct the header or eliminate it completely?

Best Regards,

hi Asish,

i attached my File format.
dear soumya,

by the way, what is your monitor's resolution? may be more than 800 X 600. my resolution is 800 X600 and the application needs 'more' space and some buttons are 'invisible and inaccessible'. so the interest has evapourated!

any workaround you can suggest? thanks for your time.
