Dear Soumya_b, other Fibotrader users,
I have some problems in using chart conditions as filter. I have read all posts of this forum. Still I need help in the following. I have made buy signal of MA10 crossing MA20 as buy signal. ref pic FTBuy01.jpg made entry rule see pic FTentry01.jpg made trailing stop FTTrailstop01.jpg. I need clarifications in a few places 1) In the attached chart portion FTBuyCover.jpg, entry is shown at 265.9 and cover at 281.6. But profit is shown as 39.12 when I place curor at cover point. How is it calculated? 2) using this buy signal, I wanted to run filter. Pl see the filter fig FTFilter3.jpg. When I save and run for folder NSE I get missing data for dialog box. Is it that for is left empty in filter and because of this I get this msg? What should I put there. Is it symbols or can I use folders Kindly clarify

dear soumya_b,
I have imported your 8-50 template and corresponding buy and sell filter template. When I run filter, I get msg "Trading system to check in filter does not exist." However I allowed it to continue.But at the end I didn't get any result. Here I would like to point out that I have data for NSE only imported from ASCII file by me. I wanted to start fresh so that I can learn the things. Where can I go wrong?

Hi,
How to set INTRADAY price alerts in FiboTrader? For example, I want to set an alert for a specific stock to Rs.100...so that as soon as the price of stock reaches Rs.100, I get an audio/visual alert. Any idea on how to do it? Thanks in advance, TkM

Dear Fibotrader and Soumya,
I would like to apply a filter to buy/sell signal given by any indicator. The filter is closing price on any subsequent day is greater than the high of the day on which a buy signal has been given by a indicator. Similarly for a sell signal, the closing price on any subsequent day is lower than the low price of the day on which a sell signal has been given by a indicator. Pl help me in achieving the above in Fibotrader. Thanks GJ

My fibotrader is showing data only from 19/06/2006 till date. Even though i applied data base updates prior to 19/06/2006. can you please help Thanks Tom

I have installed fibotrader as explained by soumya_b. I also used his amin.mdb and quotes.
I have problem when using filter based on templates. I used his 8-50 template and tried his 8-50buy filter. I didn't get any results on all days. I get msg saying trading system check in filter doesn't exit. I am attching screen shot. I will be thankful if somebody point me in the right direction.
